Make a film about your story!
Description and Rules: The students will each read a Cambridge Reader
(Cambridge English Readers or Cambridge Discovery Readers – any level) and participate in the following way:
3 Categories
- 8th + 9th basic
- 10th + 1st bachillerato
- 2nd + 3rd bachillerato
Description
All the categories will interpret the story in the following way:
Make a short film (5 minutes minimum 10 minutes maximum) – choose one of the following:
- Make a film of one of the scenes
- Make a film of a different ending
- Make a film related to the story
Rules
- The film must last no longer than 10 minutes and no less than 5 minutes
- There must be no less than 3 and no more than 6 participants per group
- All the language must be in English and audible.
Internal Competition
Each school holds an internal competition and sends the results according to the dates below.
Each school may submit one internal winner per category for the finals.
DATES
Sierra 2011 - 12:
May, June: Choose and order books
September - January: Prepare interpretations of books
February: Hold internal school competition
March 15th: Submit names of one winner per category to Cambridge University Press
March – last week: Final Inter-school competition to be held and prizes awarded.

November 15th: Submit names of one winner per category to Cambridge University Press
November – last week: Final Inter-school competition to be held and prizes awarded.
