Preschool-aged children can't always manage their emotions well. In the classroom, this often leads to misbehavior. Teachers can deal with this problem behavior by giving children a "time out" - usually a chair or area in a corner where the child goes until he/she can calm down. But "time outs" still ring of a punishment. How about giving the misbehaving child a mini vacation? Send them to the "vacation spot" and they will feel safer and will be more likely to reflect on their behavior. Decorate the corner with pictures of palm trees or lakes and make it comfortable. This will help the child deal with his/her upsets in a much more positive manner.
Just for fun!
